Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia Azmi (born on the 10th of April, 1986) is a former actress turned model from India who mostly appeared in Hindi movies. Ayesha was awarded the Filmfare's Best Debut Award in 2004 in recognition of her role as the lead actress for Taarzan The Wonder Car. The film was her debut as an actor. Her subsequent appearances comprise Paathshaala (2009) Wanted (2010) Salaam-E-Ishq (2007, 2008) and Socha Na Tha (2010). Her first commercial was for Complan which is a popular drink to improve health. In the defining I'm A Complan Boy I'm A Complan girl commercial she appeared alongside Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. The remix track Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin the singer appeared. The song became a massive popular in India during the period of remixes. There were offers for her to appear in Bollywood film productions. Takia had been scheduled to make her debut in Socha Na Tha due to delay in production, only first informed about Taarzan shortly after her first appearance. After she was criticized by her political father-in law Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi's viewpoint on punishing the rape victims as well Ayesha demonstrated her moral courage.
